International students with family living abroad

In this section you can consult the information dedicated to EU and non-EU citizens with family residing abroad.
If you have EU or non-EU citizenship and your family resides in Italy, you must refer to the provisions of the Announcement of Competition that concern Italian citizens.

 

The application

You must submit your application according to instructions set by art. 31 of the notice of competition and by the Guidelines booklet, within the expected deadlines.
You must also provide information about your economic situation by submitting the consular documents as per instructions at the artt. 30 and 31 of the notice of competition and the guidelines booklet.

New 2023/2024

Starting this year students with households residing totally or partially abroad will no longer have to hand in the ISEE Parificato. The calculation of the value of the ISEE Parificato will be carried out directly by EDISU Piemonte, through the support of the affiliated CAAFs.
The application procedures and deadlines depend on your citizenship and the type of application.

 

EXTRA-EU STUDENTS

First year students

  • If you arrive to Italy for the first time for the 2023/24 enrolment you must register with a Temporary Code to apply: in order to do that, you must calculate your Italian Tax Code (codice fiscale), which will be valid for the EDISU registration only, unless you already have the official Italian Tax Code.
  • If you already live in Italy but you do not have the Italian “residenza anagrafica” you must register with a Temporary Code to apply.
  • If you have the Italian “residenza anagrafica, you must log in with your SPID Code or CIE to apply.
 
You must apply online and then you must send the required documents to EDISU by postmail to complete your application.

Successive year students

  • If you already live in Italy but you do not have the Italian “residenza anagrafica” you must register with a Temporary Code to apply
  • If you have the Italian “residenza anagrafica, you must log in with your SPID Code or CIE to apply.
You must apply online and then you must send the required documents to EDISU by postmail to complete your application.
You can find all the detailed instructions and deadlines at the art. 31 par. 1.3 and 1.4 of our notice of competition and in our guidelines booklets.
Check the art. 30 par. 1 and 2 (or our guidelines booklet) if you have to submit the economic documentation or if you can confirm the 2022/23 economic data.

 

PhD and Postgraduate school students

  • If you already live in Italy but you do not have the Italian “residenza anagrafica” you must register with a Temporary Code to apply.
  • If you have the Italian “residenza anagrafica, you must log in with your SPID Code or CIE to apply.
You must apply online and then you must send the required documents to EDISU by postmail to complete your application.

Check the art. 30 par. 1 and 2 (or our guidelines booklet) if you have to submit the economic documentation or if you can confirm the 2022/23 economic data.
The PhD and Postgraduate guidelines booklet will be published later, before the application opening.

 

EU STUDENTS

  • If you have just arrived or you already live in Italy but you do not have the Italian “residenza anagrafica” you must register with a Temporary Code to apply.
  • If you have the Italian “residenza anagrafica, you must log in with your SPID Code or CIE to apply.
You have to apply online and attach the required documentation with the related procedure within the online application itself.
