Independent students receive a scholarship at the “Out-of-Town” rate regardless of their residence or domicile.

Who is eligible
The term ‘independent students’ refers to unmarried, single or married students who intend to submit an application without including their parents’ household (Art. 6, paragraph 1.5).

Requirements
In addition to the requirements set out in the Call for Applications, you must provide evidence that you:
- have received income from employment of at least 9,000.00 euros (or the equivalent in foreign currency) for the tax years 2024 and 2025.
Married students: may meet the €9,000.00 threshold by using their spouse’s income or by combining their own income with that of their spouse.
- have resided at an address other than that of their family of origin (in a property not owned by a member of their household or other relative) for at least two years prior to the date of submission of the application.
