About the scholarship
The scholarship is a financial contribution designed to support you in covering expenses during your university studies. It is awarded through a public competition held annually, reserved for students who meet the required eligibility criteria, and subject to available funding.
Notice of competition
The Notice of competition is published on our website and contains all the necessary information about the eligible recipients, the scholarship amount and all the other benefits that EDISU Piemonte offers. It is important to read the Notice carefully before filling out the application, in order to understand the specific instructions and deadlines.
Recipients
The notice is open to:
- Students enrolled in bachelor's degree courses, master's degree courses and single-cycle master's degree courses, PhDs and specialisation schools at Piedmont universities;
- Students from AFAM Institutions, Higher Institutes for Artistic Industries (ISIA) and Schools of Language Mediation in Piedmont;
- Students intending to enrol at any of the universities or training institutes listed above.
Requirements
The following requirements must be met to participate in the notice:
- Merit requirements: a minimum number of university credits (CFU) is required to enter the competition for students enrolling in years following the first, or by a set deadline during the academic year for first-year students;
- Financial requirements: based on the economic and financial situation of the student’s household;
- Additional requirements: specific conditions may apply (e.g., disability, invalidity, or international student status).

It is your responsibility to read the document thoroughly to find specific instructions and deadlines.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted online via the EDISU Piemonte portal using one of the following systems:
- SPID (Public Digital Identity System)
- CIE (Electronic Identity Card)
International students without residence in Italy, and not in possession of the SPID/CIE, must apply through the appropriate registration procedure for the Temporary Access Code, which is valid until 30 June of the following year.
NB: The application may only be submitted from the date and time of the opening of the Notice until noon on the closing date. After this date, it will no longer be possible to apply for the current year.
Step 1 – Read the Notice and check that you meet the requirements.
Step 2 – Log in to the Online portal with your credentials.
Step 3 – Complete and submit the application by the indicated deadline (if applicable, print, sign and attach the required documentation).
Step 4 – Check the provisional rankings and, if necessary, submit an appeal online.
Step 5 – Check the final rankings.
Accomodation service
If you are a non-resident student, under Article 4 of the Notice of Competition, you may also apply for accommodation in one of our university residences.
The accommodation request must be submitted at the same time as the scholarship application by selecting the appropriate option.
Deadlines
The online application procedure will be available during the following periods:
- Bachelor's degree courses, master's degree courses and single-cycle master's degree courses
from 25 July to 09 September 2025 12:00 p.m. - PhDs and Specialisation Schools:
from 28 October to 28 November 2025 12:00 p.m.

Results
For each benefit requested, both a provisional ranking and a final ranking will be published.
The rankings can be viewed exclusively in your personal area of the online portal.
No individual notifications will be sent.
If deemed necessary, it is possible to submit a complaint regarding the results of the provisional rankings through the specific online procedure, within the deadlines established by the Notice of competition.

International students with family living outside of Italy
All information published in this page refers to a.y. 2025/26 and:
- is directed to the students who are EU or non-EU citizens with a family totally or partially living abroad;
- concerns the procedures to be followed when applying for an EDISU benefit (scholarship, accomodation service, degree award)

Students with International or Special Protection Status
If you are in this situation, to benefit from EDISU Piemonte services you will need the following documents:
- Valid residence permit with a statement indicating international/special protection status;
- Request for recognition of status with a copy of the decree or court decision;
- In case of refusal of recognition, the document of appeal;
- Renewal of expired permit and submission of the new permit to EDISU Piemonte as soon as it is obtained;
- Valid Universitary ISEE with the name of the student, without any notes on omissions and/or discrepancies.
When you're filling your application, please ensure that:
- For University ISEE purposes, your reference family is not your family of origin but the household with which you currently reside;
- You must indicate that your family unit resides in Italy;
- For ISEE University purposes, the family unit consists of you and any other persons listed on your family status certificate. Please ask your local registry office for confirmation.
It is not necessary to deliver any documentation to the EDISU offices, since the application is made completely online.

Caution
Exceptions are made for students with an extension of the state of emergency for citizens from Ukraine, pursuant to Article 274-novies, paragraph 395 of Budget Law 213/2023 (Article 30, paragraph 6 of the Call for Applications for the academic year 2025/2026).
