The Regional Agency for the Right to Education of Piedmont (EDISU Piemonte) is a public body established by Regional Law no. 16 of 18 March 1992, subsequently updated by Regional Law no. 10 of 29 September 2014. Its mission is to guarantee capable and deserving students, even even those lacking financial means, the right to access and continue their university education, implementing article 34 of the Italian Constitution and the relevant national provisions (Legislative Decree no. 68/2012). At the heart of EDISU's work is the student, who is seen as an active part of a dynamic, continuously evolving university community. EDISU works to reduce economic and social inequalities by offering services and opportunities that facilitate study, academic life and personal growth.

Vision and Mission
Piedmont is now one of the most attractive regions in the country for students from other regions and abroad, with more than 140,000 students enrolled in university courses in the 2024-2025 academic year. The right-to-study policies contributed decisively to this result, consolidating EDISU's role as an engine of equity, social mobility and competitiveness in this area.
EDISU Piemonte is, therefore, a public body with a clear, strategic vision and a concrete mission: to guarantee an inclusive, attractive and sustainable university system that meets the needs of the student community today and tomorrow.
