Revocations due to loss of requirements

About it

A student who, for the reasons listed below, loses the requirements for maintaining the benefits obtained is required to repay the sums already received and loses the right to exemption from tuition fees in accordance with the regulations of the university of enrolment.

Revocation following verification of enrolment and merit

EDISU Piemonte carries out checks at the universities on all self-certifications produced by students. These checks concern enrolment in the relevant academic year, the year of first enrolment and the number of credits declared from any course changes, transfers and withdrawals or losses of requirements, including in previous academic years.

The checks will start after the application deadline and will end with the payment of the second scholarship instalment.

However, checks are possible after the payment of the second instalment, including following reports by the universities.

First-year revocation for lack of merit

Upon verification of the failure to meet the merit requirements for the maintenance of the scholarship, EDISU will revoke the benefits obtained, the eligibility condition, the refund of the regional fee and the exemption from payment of tuition fees. A special measure in accordance with the regulations in force on debt collection will be enacted.

The verification procedure has the following deadlines:

  • for the 2023/2024 academic year, it starts on 30 March 2025 and ends on 30 September 2025

  • for the 2024/2025 academic year, it starts on 30 March 2026 and ends on 30 September 2026

If the merit requirement is complied with, the student receives a notice of compliance on their personal page of the Online Portal

Revocation loss of requirements

  • Revocation of scholarship: you may have your scholarship revoked in all the cases set forth in art. 3 of the notice of competition ("Conditions of non-admission" and "Condition of Exclusion").

  • Revocation of the accommodation service: you may have the accommodation service revoked in the cases set forth in the Notice of competition in the event of a disciplinary measure pursuant to the provisions of the Internal Regulations for University Residences and subsequent amendments and supplements.

Method for returning benefits

A registered letter with return receipt containing notice of revocation of the benefit granted, information on the amount to be returned, the date by which payment must be made, and the methods for making payment in accordance with the current regulations on debt collection is sent to the address of residence of the student.

Students are required to notify EDISU of any change in their address of residence or postal address via the Ticketing service, by selecting the topic "Revocations".

Individuals whose benefits are revoked and who do not provide a valid residential or postal address, and are therefore found to be untraceable, are reported to the university for an administrative freeze of their academic career in accordance with current regulations.

Debt Instalment Request

You may request a debt instalment plan following revocation of the benefit through the ticketing service under the topic “Revocations”.

Following the request, an application form is sent out with the instructions to follow.

The instalment plan agreed upon is sent, via registered letter with return receipt, to the address indicated in the form.

For any information on how to request an instalment plan or on current instalments, please contact the Revocations Office using the ticketing service, subject “Revocations”.

Administrative career freeze

Individuals whose benefits have been revoked and who fail to meet the deadlines for making payments will be subject to an administrative freeze of their academic career pursuant to the "Guidelines for revocation and recovery of scholarships, grants and beds: amicable collection"

University communication and roll registration

The benefits revocation will be communicated to the competent offices of the University, which will revoke the fee waiver and request for payment of the amount due in accordance with the current Regulations.

If the sums due are not repaid, EDISU will proceed to recover the debt via the competent concession company responsible for compulsory collection.

The methods of compulsory collection and the related procedures are governed by the respective legal provisions in force for the purpose of enforcement.

Revocation of additional services and benefits

EDISU Piemonte will revoke additional services (e.g. catering service) and other benefits according to the respective notices and internal regulations.
