What is the patronage?
EDISU patronages represent the highest form of moral recognition by the Authority for initiatives carried out within its jurisdiction that are deemed worthy for their aims of promoting civil, social, cultural, sporting and tourist progress and the development of the regional university community, as well as enhancing the territory and the environment and promoting the services provided by the Authority and its statutory purposes.
Patronage may also be granted for initiatives that do not take place within the territory of competence, provided that they are relevant to the Authority or promote its objectives, image, prestige, history, traditions or economic, social and cultural reality.
Who can request the patronage?
Potential beneficiaries of patronage are:
a) individual and associated local authorities, other public bodies, bodies and associations in which local authorities participate;
b) bodies, associations, foundations and other organisations of a cultural, scientific, educational, sporting, economic and social nature of local interest that operate on a non-profit basis;
c) cultural, scientific, educational, sporting, economic and social institutions, professional associations and colleges, universities and cultural, scientific, educational, sporting, economic and social institutions of national interest;
d) other bodies of particular and extraordinary importance that carry out activities related to the competences of Edisu Piemonte.
Patronage cannot be granted for events with a profit-making purpose, unless the initiative promoted has significant cultural, social or tourist value.
How to request the patronage
To apply for patronage, you must submit a specific application, written on the applicant's letterhead, as per the facsimile in the request form, at least 30 days before the date of the initiative.
The application, on plain paper, must be addressed to the President of EDISU Piemonte, signed by the applicant or the applicant's legal representative, and must contain the applicant's identification details and a detailed description of the initiative (nature, purpose and methods of implementation) with the complete programme and, if applicable, a draft of the relevant graphic material.
If the application is incomplete, the request will be considered inadmissible.
The granting of patronage is subject to the following criteria:
a) consistency of the initiative with the institutional aims of the Administration, assessed with reference to the general areas of activity, established lines of action, programmes and projects;
b) relevance to the regional university community.
