About it
The tax is a contribution of € 140.00 that students are required to pay at the time of enrolment/registration for each academic year for degree courses, master's degree courses and single-cycle master's degree courses, doctorates and specialisation schools (Legislative Decree 678/2021-Regional Law no. 53 01/08/1996).
The proceeds of the fee are used to finance scholarships and other actions to support the right to study.
Who can apply
Students who meet the requirements set out in Article 1 of the Regional Tax Refund Regulations may apply for a refund of the regional tax for the right to university education.
The specific requirements for applying for a refund are set out in the Regional Tax Refund Regulations.
The following are not required to submit a refund request:
- first-year students who have been awarded an EDISU scholarship: the refund is automatic in accordance with the relevant competition notice.
- students at the Politecnico di Torino enrolled in the first year or in years after the first. The University itself is responsible for managing any refunds of the regional tax (for further information, please contact your local registrar's office).
Application and refund methods
To request a refund of the regional tax for the right to university education from EDISU Piemonte, you must access the Regional Tax Refund Online Help Desk via SPID or CIE or with a temporary access code for foreign international students and fill out and submit the application online from January 15 to June 30, at 12:00 p.m.
- Students with SPID access must submit their application online only.
- Non-Italian international students with a temporary access code are also required to print the form, sign it, send it to EDISU, and attach it, as indicated in the Regulations.
After carrying out the necessary checks with the universities, EDISU will proceed with the reimbursement, in accordance with the Regulations, by bank transfer to the current account (or prepaid card) indicated by the applicant in the specific procedure called “bank details-IBAN”.
