Supplementary grant for international mobility

It is a supplementary benefit of the EDISU scholarship. The notice is published during the Spring of 2026.

The grant is intended for students who have been awarded an EDISU scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year and are participating in international mobility projects abroad promoted by their home university for the 2026/27 academic year or in particular 2025/2026 international mobility projects with late results.

The grant is awarded based on the financial data (ISEE [Indicator of Equivalent Economic Situation]/ISPE [Indicator of Equivalent Asset Situation]) and merit data declared in the EDISU scholarship application for the 2025/26 academic year.

Since it is a financial support for expenses and costs incurred during the study abroad, the supplementary grant is intended for, and is only payable to cover, projects carried out in a foreign destination. Any share granted by the European Union under any other bilateral agreement, both for European and non-European destinations, based on what is certified by the student’s home university, is deducted from the monthly amount of € 600.

Therefore, projects through distance learning cannot be funded. In the case of mixed projects, carried out partly in person abroad and partly via distance learning, only the period abroad may be financed.

The application must be completed and submitted online by the deadlines set out in the 2026 Notice – Awarding of supplementary grant for Erasmus programmes and international mobility projects 2025/2026 academic year (art.3).

The SPID or CIE must be used to complete the application. International students without the SPID will be able to log in with a temporary code that they can request in the Online services section of the site before applying.

The application deadline will be announced through the Notice of Competition of future release.

N.B. Failure to submit the application online by the deadline means it will be discarded.

A provisional and a definitive ranking will be published in the future.

The rankings can only be consulted in your personal area of the Online portal.
No individual communications will be made.

Subject to the availability of funds, the grant will be paid in 2 instalments:

• the first instalment from the end of August 2026 if you were a winner in the final rankings;
• the second instalment, equal to the remaining 30% at the end of the mobility period, after verification with the university that the results envisaged by the programme were achieved.

To obtain payment, you must have submitted a copy of the certificate of travel by the deadlines indicated in the 2026 Notice – Awarding of supplementary grant for Erasmus programmes and international mobility projects 2026/27 academic year.

Payment is made by crediting a current account or prepaid card in your name or co-held by you. If you have not already done so, it is important that you provide us with your IBAN (Italian or SEPA circuit) by the end of August 2026. Postal savings books are not allowed.

Travel expenses for the outward and return journeys are only paid if they are not provided for by your home university and are documented when the certificate of travel abroad is submitted. Otherwise, the student loses the right to reimbursement.
