About it
For non-residence students who choose to enrol at a university in Piedmont, EDISU Piemonte is offering around 2700 beds in residences and apartments located in Turin and in several Piedmont cities, which are also university campuses.
Requirements
To access the accommodation service, you must apply through the Notice of Competition, which also applies for scholarships, according to the procedures and deadlines set each year. The Notice, deadlines and information on how to complete them are published on the EDISU Piemonte website.
To apply for a bed, you must be a non-resident student (whose residence is at a distance of more than 60 km from the city where the major course campus is) and meet the same requirements as when applying for a scholarship.
If you are awarded a scholarship and the accommodation service, part of the scholarship will be paid in the form of a bed fee. The amount of this will be deducted from the total amount of the cash contribution.
For more information on the requirements, see the annual competition notice or go to the ticketing service.
Bed allocation
In the online bed application, the student may express their preference for the residence where they would like to reside. However, allocation within the various facilities is at EDISU’s sole discretion and will be arranged in accordance with the allocation criteria laid down and published on the site.
Here you can find all of the bed spots allocated following the Notice for a.y. 2025/26 divided by number of rooms and by student typology.
If you have accepted accommodation, you will receive an email from noreply@edisu-piemonte.it with details of the allocation.
You will need to show up to the residence for allocation by the deadline indicated in the email provided with:
- valid ID (for non-EU students, this must be a passport);
- for non-EU students, a residence permit or a copy of the receipt of payment for obtaining a residence permit.
- passport photo;
- a copy of registration with the National Health Service (health card) or copy of a private insurance policy for non-EU students.
If you wish to delay your entry into the residence, you may request an extension by completing the appropriate form which should be sent to: assegnazioniresidenze@edisu-piemonte.it by the date of assignment.
If you have been granted an extension, at least five days prior to your entry into the residence send an email to assegnazioniresidenze@edisu-piemonte.it to confirm your entry date.
The request for an extension will be considered as an acceptance of the allocation, starting from the last day for entry into the residence. Therefore, if students do not show up at the residence at the end of the extension period, they will be deemed to have withdrawn and will have to pay the value of the accommodation service for the period for which they have requested the extension.
For more information, please go to the ticketing service.
Mobility between different residences
In accordance with the provisions of the "Mobility Between Different Residences" section of the "Criteria for the Assignment of Bed Spaces in University Residences" approved by Board of Directors Resolution No. 51 of September 18, 2025, transfers between residences are permitted during the academic year. These transfers must be made during the periods indicated in the following calendar (mobility windows). Interested students may submit their requests through their personal profile on the Sportello online.
If the request is accepted, guests for whom mobility has been authorized must take possession of the exchanged bed and actually stay there. Occupancy of the bed must occur within 48 hours of EDISU Piemonte notifying the interested party of the outcome of the request. The obligation to actually stay there begins upon taking possession of the bed space.
According to the residence halls' internal regulations, failure to stay in the bed assigned upon acceptance of the mobility request is sanctioned by revocation of the bed space.
EDISU Piemonte will only notify applicants of approved mobility requests. If justified circumstances make mobility inappropriate, applicants will be notified of the denial.
As established by the above-mentioned criteria, the procedure is aimed at implementing the mobility of the guests who request it, with occupancy of the accommodation and actual stay starting from the mobility authorization. Therefore, this option is not granted to international mobility students (Erasmus).
In the case of multi-bed rooms and/or apartments with shared bathrooms, EDISU reserves the right to consider requests for mobility between people of different genders.
Mobility is carried out in accordance with the room assignment criteria: if this is not possible due to the lack of academic seniority, the request will be rejected.
Mobility may also be denied for other justified reasons that make it inappropriate.
If extraordinary cleaning is necessary, EDISU Piemonte will arrange for it to be performed, with the related costs being charged to the student assigned to the outgoing room.
Rules of conduct
Guests staying at EDISU facilities and affiliated facilities are required to comply with the University Residence Regulations and the internal rules of each facility, which can be consulted on the relevant residence's web pages.
In addition to setting out the rules to be observed, the University Residence Regulations also establish the principle of representation: at the beginning of the academic year, students living in the residences may elect their own representatives, consisting of a maximum number of students per residence, determined on the basis of the number of beds. (Art. 11 of the Residence Regulations). Elections are held in accordance with democratic principles.
The representatives perform advisory and liaison functions between the students of the university residences and the administrative bodies of the institution to discuss issues relating to the internal life of the community.
