An agency of the Regione Piemonte established by Regional Law No.16 of March 18, 1992, EDISU Piemonte guarantees the right to education, enshrined in Article 34 of the Italian Constitution, for the access and continuation of the highest levels of education for capable and deserving students, even those lacking financial resources.
EDISU Piemonte implements this fundamental right of the Italian educational and social system, by providing scholarships, accommodations in residences for off-site students, and the provision of meals in university canteens.
EDISU Piemonte services are accessible through a competition published every year. Applicants are those already attending or about to enroll at universities, AFAM (Academic Arts and Music Studies), or Advanced schools for linguistic mediators in Piemonte, who meet the income and merit requirements established by the Ministry.
