Can I choose to stay in my favorite residence? What happens if it is not available?
Yes, you can indicate two favorite residences. If they would not be available, the Foresteria service will suggest an alternative and available residence.
What happens if the available residence is far away from my Athenaeum?
Usually one of the assigned criteria is the distance; unfortunately, sometimes it is not possible find a room available close to the Athenaeum. Anyway, the available residence will be marked in the quote and you can choose to accept it or not.
I had already check-in but I want to move to another residence. Is it possible? Whom should I contact?
Università degli Studi di Torino guests have to write an email request to foresteria@edisu-piemonte.it
The request will be take in charge depending on the residence availability and on accepted requests.
For guests of Politecnico di Torino, Università del Piemonte Orientale, Accademia Albertina, Conservatory and Scuola superiore dei Mediatori linguistici once the sleeping accommodation will be accepted, it will not be possible to change the residence.
I requested a single room, but the Office assigned me to a double room. Does it means that I have to share it? Would be a single room fee or a double room fee?
In the lack of availability of single room, the accommodation in double room will be marked on the quote that you received.
You can decide to accept to share a room (with someone of the same gender of you) or refuse the accommodation.
In this case, the student have to search by himself another accommodation. If the student accepts the double room, it will be applied the cheaper double room fee.
Can I book a double room for a single use?
No, you cannot book a double room if you are alone, in order to help more guests to find an accommodation in our halls of residence.
When is check-in and check-out time?
Check-in time is from noon on the arrival day and check-out time is at 10:00 am on the departure day.
If required, luggage can be kept before the check-in and after the check-out times by sending an email.
During the Christmas holidays and the month of August some Hall of Residences can be closed. Guests could be transferred to other residences.
Are there any time limitations to get out or get in the residence?
No, there are not limitation time. Accomodation by reservation residences has 24/7 reception service.
Are there in the residence-reserved parking or discounted parking for guests?
There are not discounted city parking for guests. Some halls of residence have payment car parking. In order to know how if the residence has payment car parking, go to the Hall of residence page.
Are allowed pets in the halls of residence?
No, it is absolutely forbidden bring pets in the halls of residence.
Are there any shuttle buses to and from the halls of residence?
The Halls of residence are in city center where there is a good public transportation system.

Are the halls of residence served by late night transportation?
Torino municipality public transportation starts at 6 am until midnight in the week, in the weekend there is late night transportation.
