The notice of competition for scolarship and accomodation service a.y. 2020/2021 will be online next week.

The participation in the competition is granted for students who are going to enroll in a university course in Piedmont and who meet specific entry requirements and

• Merit requirements: students who are going to enroll in a successive year must achieve a specific number of credits (cfu) in order to enter the competition, students who are going to enroll in a first year are required to achieve to achieve a specific number of credits during the academic year.
• Economic requirements: seen by the economic and financial situation of the household.

Deadline

You must fill out and submit the online application within the following deadlines, even if you are not enrolled at a university yet:

BACHELOR'S DEGREE, SINGLE CYCLE MASTER'S DEGREE, MASTER'S DEGREE:

• FROM 21 JULY TO 3 SEPTEMBER 2020 AT 12 (NOON) 
  if you want to apply for both scholarship and accomodation service
   
• FROM 21 JULY TO 1 OCTOBER 2020 AT 12 (NOON)
  if you want to apply for scholarship only

In the notice of competition you will find all the information you will need (recipients, amounts, how to apply, outcomes, etc.) also for Degree Award and scholarships and accomodation service for PhD/Postgraduate schools.

Attention: careful reading of the notice of competition is important, but don't worry, the notice will be structured in such a way that you are not required to read it in full! In fact, you must necessarily refer to sections of general interest: Recipients, General Provisions and final Provisions, but among other sections, you will only have to read those that interest you based on the type of question you want to present.

New regulations

1. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WHOSE FAMILIES LIVE ABROAD

These students can submit new consular documents or complete documents already sent (art. 31 par. 3.2 of the notice of competition 2020/21)

• FIRST YEARS INTERNATIONAL EXTRA-EU STUDENTS
  These students can be included in ranking lists that will be published on 15 March 2021 if they are excluded in the definitive ranking list published on 15 December 2020 due to non-enrollment, or enrollment under condition, and if they do not submit consular documents and fiscal code withing 15 September 2020 (scholarship and accomodation service application) or within 20 November 2020 (only scholarship application). In order to be included in these extraordinary ranking lists they must enroll in a university course within 28 February 2021 and, by the same date, they must submit fiscal code, issued by the relevant authorities, and original consular documents according to art. 20 par. 3 and 7 of the notice of competition and Step by Step International Students Guide in English.

• SUCCESSIVE YEARS INTERNATIONAL EXTRA-EU STUDENTS
  They can confirm the economic data submitted in a.y. 2019/20 if they cannot collect the new documents due to the closure or interruption of Italian diplomatic-consular mission services in their countries because of Covid-19 health emercency.

• FIRST YEARS INTERNATIONAL EU STUDENTS
  These students can be included in ranking lists that will be published on 15 March 2021 if they are excluded in the definitive ranking list published on 15 December 2020 due to non-enrollment, or enrollment under condition, and if they do not submit consular documents and fiscal code within 15 September 2020 (scholarship and accomodation service application) or within 20 November 2020 (only scholarship application). In order to be included in these extraordinary ranking lists they must enroll in a university course within 28 February 2021 and, by the same date, they must submit via ticketing service (section Economic Requirements - ISEE) fiscal code, issued by the relevant authorities, and original consular documents according to art. 20 par. 3 and 7 of the notice of competition and Step by Step International Students Guide in English.

• SUCCESSIVE YEARS INTERNATIONAL EU STUDENTS
  They can submit again documents translated and legalized in 2019 if they cannot collect the new documents due to the closure or interruption of Italian diplomatic-consular mission service in their countries because of Covid-19 health emergency.

2. STUDENTS WHO GOT THE "COMMUTER" AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP BUT WHO ARE INCLUDED IN THE SCROLLING RANKING LIST A.Y. 2019/20 CAN CONFIRM THE ACCOMODATION SERVICE

Students included in the scrolling ranking list of a.y. 2019/20 at June 30 who receive the "commuter" amount of scholarship, because they did not submit a house rental contract, can apply for accomodation service ad Benefits confirmation for merit.

3. OPZIONE RENATO EINAUDI FOR STUDENTS INCLUDED IN 2019/20 EINAUDI RANKING LISTS (UNASSIGNED DUE TO COVID-19 LOCKDOWN)

Eligible students, who are not bed assignees at the Renato Einaudi College due to Covid-19 emergency and lockdown, if winners of a bed place in Renato Einaudi College for a.y. 2020/21, must accept (if winners in Edisu ranking list) or declare their interest (if eligible in Edisu ranking lists) by picking the Opzione Renato Einaudi within the specific online procedure.

4. INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTION

Exceptionally and for reasons which do not depend on Edisu Piemonte, diven the uncertainty about the organization of future international mobility programs due to possibile new health emergencies, the 2020/21 Notice of Competition will not regulate the additional contribution for international mobilities for projects carried out in a.y. 2021/22. This benefit will be regulated through a specific notice of competition whose publication is scheduled for March 2021. We invite students to check Edisu Piemonte website to keep up with further updates.

New procedures

1. USER CODE 2020/21 ONLINE APPLICATION FOR EXTRA-EU STUDENTS (NON-RESIDENT STATUS)

For a.y. 2020/21 the "Reservation" procedure for Extra-EU students with entry visa for 2020/21 enrollment is not activated.

Since they will probably have to attend the first semester classes remotely, from their countries, through online teaching solutions they must submit their Edisu benefits application through the ordinary online procedure within 3 September 2020 (scholarship and accomodation service application) or within 1 October 2020 (only scholarship application). For the User Code 2020/21 registration they must enter the fiscal code, issued by the relevant authorities, or a fiscal code calculated by the student for the sole purpose of Edisu application (art. 31 par. 1.1 of the notice of competition 2020/21).

2. CONSULAR DOCUMENTS ASSESSMENT OUTCOME AVAILABLE ON ITS OWN PERSONAL PAGE OF EDISU ONLINE SERVICE

International Extra-EU students must submit the consular documents by post (traditional mail) or by courier; international EU students must upload them within the online application.

The correctness of documents attached to the online procedure will be judged by Edisu Piemonte and, through their personal page of Edisu online services, students will be able to check the outcome. If documents are incomplete or incorrect students, after the publication of provisional ranking lists, will be able to heal or supplement documents by filling a formal complaint through the specific online procedure.

3. UNIFIED "OPZIONE ERASMUS"

Given the universities' uncertainty about the organization of future international mobility programs, for a.y. 2020/21, the options "Erasmus Mese" (for periods of mobility projects shorter than 8 months or, for last semester applicants, only 5 months) and "Erasmus Anno" (for periods of mobility projects equal to or longer than 8 months or, for the last semester applicants, only 5 months) are unified when accepting/declaring its interest. The new option will be called "Opzione Erasmus" and students will have to declare the precise period of stay abroad, starting from 1 October 2020. For 2020/21, in both cases, assignment procedure is planned.
